Wednesday Stamper: Charms

Het is alweer een tijd geleden dat ik heb meegedaan met de WS-challeges. De uitdaging van deze week is Charms en de inzendingen die tot nu toe zijn binnengekomen inspireerden me enorm!

Maar... ik heb nog nooit een charm (hanger) gemaakt... Tijd om eens die microscoopglaasjes onder het stof tevoorschijn te halen en aan de slag te gaan!

Dit is het resultaat: een sleutelhanger (want ik ben niet zo van de kettingen enzo en dit is ook nog eens praktisch) Het onderwerp laat zich raden... *LOL*

It's been a long time since I participated in the WS-challenges. This week's challenge is Charms and the entries so far are so inspiring!

But... I've never made a charm before... Time to dust off those microscope slides and get to work!

Here's the result: a key chain (I'm not really into jewellery and this is something you can use too). The subject shouldn't be any surprise... *LOL*

Moo cards

De WS uitdaging van deze week is Moo Cards, kleine rechthoekige kaartjes van 7x2,8cm. Waar de naam vandaan komt weet ik niet, het heeft iig niets met koeien te maken ;)
Voor deze uitdaging heb ik wat UM-stempels gebruikt die ik een tijdje terug heb gekocht op de ArtSpecially beurs en de Knotsgekke Kaartendagen. Had ik meteen een goede reden om ze op klitteband te plakken!

This week's WS challenge are Moo Cards, small rectangular cards of 7x2,8cm. I don't know why they're called Moo Cards 'cause they don't have anything to do with cows...
I used some unmounted stamps I got a while back at 2 hobby events. Gave me a reason to stick them onto velcro too!

Something fishy

Deze week weer meegedaan met de Wednesday Stamper uitdaging. Het thema was 'fish' en dit is het geworden:



Ik moest toevallig nog een ATC maken voor het groepje dieren van m'n eigen ATC swap, dus dat kwam goed uit!
Achtergrond met alcohol inkt, stempels van Art Impressions, Vivid + Stazon stempelinkt, satéstokje en garen.

Participated again in Wednesday Stamper's weekly challenge. This week's theme was 'fish' and this is what I made.
Coincidentally I still had to make an ATC for the animal-group of my own ATC-swap, so it's 2 birds with 1 stone!

Blue

Wednesday Stamper is terug van vakantie met een nieuwe uitdaging: Blue.
Deze ATC is 1 van de eerste ik die ik heb gemaakt, vorig jaar voor een swap. Het is nog steeds 1 van mijn favorieten (zelfs al is de horizon een beetje scheef...)

Wednesday Stamper

Ook bij Wednesday Stamper hebben ze vakantie, dus is er momenteel om de week een nieuwe uitdaging. Deze keer is het thema helemaal open, dus je kunt doen wat je wil.

Ik zag een hele leuke marmer-techniek met scheerschuim (!) in dit boek, dus dat moest ik eens uit proberen. Ik heb er verschillende achtergrondjes mee gemaakt, en dit is er 1 van. Binnenkort is een vriendin jarig, dus er meteen maar een verjaardagskaart mee gemaakt ;)

At Wednesday Stamper they are enjoying Summer vacation as well, so there's a new challenge every other week now. This time it's an open theme, so basically anything goes.

I saw this really cool marbling technique using shaving cream (!) in this book, so naturally I had to try it out. I made a couple of backgrounds, and this is one of them. Since one of my friends has their birthday later this week, I decided to make it into a b-day card for her ;)

P.s. hier is nog een marmer-achtergrondje. Gebruik 'm gerust! (ben wel benieuwd naar het resultaat, dus laat het even weten! ;) )

Buttons

Het thema op Wednesday Stamper van deze week is Buttons.
Ik ben nogal van de simpele witte kaarten de laatste tijd, dus hier is er nog één:


Stempels en knoop van Hero Arts, verder inkt van Colorbox (amber & sepia black) en Stazon (cotton white), naaigaren en zijden bloemen.

I seem to be into simple white cards lately, so here's another one.

Polka dots

Dat is het thema op Wednesday Stamper deze week, en ik vond 'm maar lastig... Hier is mijn bijdrage, opnieuw een simpele witte kaart:

Flowers

Het thema van deze week bij Wednesday Stamper is Flowers.
Hier mijn bijdrage, het zijn 2 simpele witte kaarten dit keer:



Ik heb de batik techniek met re-inkers gebruikt (Vivid yellow + lavender) op wit washi papier. De stempels zijn van Hero Arts.

I used the batik technique with re-inkers (Vivid yellow + lavender) on white washi (or Mulberry) paper. All stamps are by Hero Arts.

Door

De nieuwe uitdaging van Wednesday Stamper heet Door. Lastige opdracht, en in plaats om iets met deuren te doen heb ik gekozen voor the Doors:
Ik wilde al een tijdje iets grungy-achtigs maken. De achtergrond is gemaakt mbv craftsheet en alcohol inkt (denim, meadow, bottle). De tekst is uit een gedicht van William Blake waaraan de band zijn naam heeft ontleend. Het plaatje is een ingescande foto van Jim Morrison die in Photoshop met het stempel-filter is bewerkt. Verder stempels van Club Scrap, Stampers Anonymous en Cherry Pie.

This week's challenge on Wednesday Stamper is Door. Tough assignment, and instead of working with doors in the 'gateway'-sense, I chose the band the Doors as inspiration.

I had wanted to do something grungy-ish for a while. The background was made using a craftsheet and alcohol ink (denim, meadow, bottle). The text are lines from a poem by William Blake, from which the band picked their name. The picture is a scanned photo of Jim Morrison that I converted in Photoshop using the stamp filter. In addition I used stamps from Club Scrap, Stampers Anonymous and Cherry Pie.

Games

Het is inmiddels donderdag, dat betekent dat er sinds gisteren een nieuw thema op de Wednesday Stamper site staat: games.
Hier is mijn bijdrage, opnieuw een ATC-tje:



Verder niet zoveel te melden, behalve dat m'n ouders sinds dinsdag weer thuis zijn, voorzien van een 's zomers kleurtje en een paar extra pondjes ;)

Not much else to report, except that my parents arrived home safe and sound on Tuesday, with a nice tan and a few extra pounds ;)

Wednesday Stamper

Wednesday Stamper is een blog waarop iedere woensdag een nieuwe stempeluitdaging staat. Het thema van deze week is Fleur de Lis en ik heb dit ATC-tje gemaakt. Het is de eerste keer dat ik eraan meedoe!



Het plaatje van de fleur de lis is een foto van een gevelsteen die ik in Praag heb gemaakt tijdens mijn stedentripje afgelopen november.
