Bruised back & ego

(au!)

On my way to the metrostation on Tuesday, I saw a part of a plastic sign on the ground. I don't know why, but for some reason I figured I could walk óver it, instead of around it.
Before I knew it I was on the ground - the sign had slipped away and I had fallen, cartoon-style, with my legs in the air...
Fortunately I landed well, no ripped clothes, just a few aching muscles and no unwanted attention ;)

The next day I had trouble getting out of bed due to stiffness in my back, but that wasn't really a problem since I had the day off anyway.

Yesterday morning was a whole other story: I hardly got out of bed because my back ached so badly. Got ready to go to work anyway but when it was time to leave the house, things hadn't really improved. So I swallowed my pride and called the office to say that I wasn't coming in today. I crawled back into bed for a few hours and took it easy for the rest of the day.

Today I felt a bit better, so I decided to go back to work. It went reasonably well, but when I was hauling a large box of enveloppes, it occurred to me that thát may have been a bit too enthusiastic... (ouch!)
